Since September 2022, the Company has implemented a systematic energy management system and established an “Energy Promotion Team” to review energy targets and responsibilities, plan and improve management measures, ensure timely execution and progress tracking of energy management initiatives, and ensure operations comply with energy management system requirements. The purpose of obtaining ISO 50001 certification is to manage and control energy according to the ISO 50001 management system, efficiently manage energy usage, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and achieve energy-saving and carbon reduction goals.
Action Plans for Business Electric Vehicle
In August 2023, the Company replaced a fuel-powered company vehicle with one VinFast electric vehicle at a cost of 1,336 million VND. Based on a total annual mileage of 36,000 km in 2024, this replacement saves 20,912,000 VND per month and reduces CO2 emissions by 5.01 tons.
Investment in Energy-saving Equipment
In 2024, the Company carried out operational environment improvements across various plants, replacing old air conditioning units with a total of 12 energy-efficient air conditioners, at a total procurement cost of 237,100,000 VND. This initiative is estimated to save approximately 806 kWh of electricity and reduce CO2 emissions by 0.55 tons in 2024. In 2025, the Company plans to expand the investment by installing solar panels on the roof of Plant 6 to further adopt green energy.
In August 2024, the Company obtained ISO 50001:2018 certification from the third-party certification body BSI. We implement various preventive measures to fulfill our energy management commitments to customers.
